WHAT ARE THE GRAHAM CRACKERS AND HOW ARE THEY MADE?  BIG SECRET IS OUT!!

HISTORY OF THE GRAHAM CRACKER

Graham crackers are a simple and quick snack that will keep you full until your next meal. Despite their often tedious and boring nature, graham crackers are sometimes suggested as a wholegrain alternative to other snacks.

However, they do have a lengthy history. They took their lead from a man named Sylvester Graham, who was born in 1794 and had a strong commitment to following a healthy diet. What kind of food did he like to eat? He was an advocate of vegetarian food who maintained that the best way to survive was through a high-fiber diet with limited dairy and complete abstention from alcohol and tobacco.

THE PRODUCTION OF GRAHAM CRACKERS

Only flour, oil, and salt are needed to make these crackers. Since the 1910s, numerous biscuit makers across the US have attempted to perfect the cracker. The general populace consumes these mass-produced crackers either directly or through pies where the biscuits serve as the crust.

THE GRAHAM CRACKER'S HISTORY

The Graham Cracker was developed with inspiration from the preacher Sylvester Graham, after whom it is named. In 1829, the cracker was created for the first time as a result of his lectures. He delivered lectures solely to save people from becoming damned. His sermons urged people to keep their happiness to a minimum since excessive delight might breed immorality and leave individuals open to devil's snares. His core philosophies revolve around being a vegetarian and reducing pleasure. He promotes a diet high in bread and dry flour and claims that humans were born to live this way.

His ideas gained popularity, especially during pandemics when the average person could buy bread and vegetarianism. Due to their limited income, bread is the most common diet for the poor. The Grahamite flour is supposed to have been produced by the Grahamites, who identified as the followers of these sermons. National Graham Crackers Day is celebrated on July 5 in honour of Sylvester Graham.
